On July 12, 2025, the Friends of UP Visayas High School Foundation, Inc. got together for a dinner to welcome new directors from UPHS Class 1986. It was an opportunity to reconnect and kick off their next chapter with the foundation.

Dr. Marie Karen Jiz steps in as Chairperson, joined by Dr. Jere Cejar as Director and Rovea Onglatco as Auditor. Also from Class 1986, Marigold Milliam will serve as Assistant Auditor.

Others at the meeting included foundation president Ret. Associate Justice Francis Jardeleza (Class 1965), incoming director Francisco Villanueva (Class 1965), UPHSI Principal Prof. Edelia Braga, UP Faculty Regent Prof. Early Sol Gadong (Class 1999), foundation staff members Charmie Saligumba and Emmanuel Lerona (Class 1999), and guests Yzanor Lerona and Marianne Lebuna.

With Class 1986 coming on board, the foundation welcomes fresh energy and perspective as everyone works together to support UP High School in Iloilo in all its endeavors.
